Wei Lung has handled significant legal transactions in capital markets, corporate banking, corporate finance, corporate and debt restructuring schemes, initial public offers, take-overs, reverse take-overs, back-door listings, mergers and acquisitions, real property, retail lending and generally, in various areas of commercial and corporate law as well as finance and property law. He also advises on employment and industrial relations laws.
His expertise is recognised in several independent international publications. He has presented many public lectures on various areas of law and legal practice, and writes for various legal publishers and the College of Law of Australia.
In addition to his legal work, he administers certain aspects of the firm’s practice. In Asialaw’s 2018 edition, Wei Lung is recognised as a Leading Lawyer in the field of Corporate Law and Mergers & Acquisitions.
Wei Lung graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia in 1988 with an Honours degree in Law. He was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1988 after the completion of his practical training at the College of Law in Sydney, Australia.
Wei Lung was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1989. Since then, he has been active in legal practice. He joined Cheang & Ariff as a Partner in year 2000.
